Vaginal Rejuvenation

Who can undergo vaginal tightening surgery?

Patients experiencing childbirth-related changes, aging, or laxity of the vaginal muscles are suitable candidates for this procedure.

Vaginal Rejuvenation, also known as Vaginoplasty, is a treatment method performed to restore the vagina to its former structure.

Vaginoplasty is performed by removing enlarged vaginal tissue and tightening the soft tissues and muscles surrounding the vagina.

It is intended to correct concerns that may arise from childbirth, aging, or relaxation of the vaginal muscles, which can affect genital health, reduce sexual quality of life, and negatively impact self-confidence.

Vaginal Rejuvenation can be performed through Surgical Rejuvenation (Tightening) or through tightening methods using Laser and Radiofrequency.

Surgical Rejuvenation:

Vaginal tightening surgery is performed through the vaginal opening. Loose muscles and tissues that cause functional or aesthetic concerns are repaired, resulting in narrowing of the vaginal canal. The procedure is completed in approximately 30–40 minutes.

Laser or Radiofrequency Treatment:

These methods can be used to treat genital aesthetic concerns such as vaginal laxity and darkening of the external genital area. Laser light or radiofrequency creates controlled tightening in the vaginal wall, resulting in a narrower vaginal canal and improved sexual quality of life. It may also support tightening of the anterior vaginal wall and help address urinary leakage that can occur with actions such as sneezing or coughing.

Can vaginal widening occur in women who have never given birth?

In some women, the vaginal area may naturally be wider due to structural factors. This concern can also be seen in younger women who have not previously given birth.

What should be considered after vaginoplasty?

  • Patients can usually return to daily life 1–2 days after surgery.
  • A shower may be taken 3 days after the operation while standing. Absorbable sutures are used during the procedure and dissolve on their own within about one week.
  • Vaginal discharge may occur for up to 2 weeks after the operation.
  • Sexual intercourse, swimming in the sea, and pool use should be avoided for 1 month after surgery.
  • Since most incisions are located within the vaginal canal and are not visible externally, any small scars that may form remain in this area.
