Laser Lipolysis

Who can undergo laser lipolysis?

Individuals with localized fat accumulation and cellulite problems, especially in the legs, abdomen and hips after pregnancy.

Laser lipolysis is a body contouring procedure in which subcutaneous fat tissue is selectively targeted using a specific frequency and wavelength, and the fat is melted with the help of thin, flexible cannulas.

It is used to reduce regional fat excess and shape the body, while also helping tighten lax skin in areas such as the abdomen, hips and waist.

The greatest advantage of laser lipolysis systems is that they support rapid skin tightening. They are particularly beneficial in areas where skin laxity is an issue and the amount of fat accumulation is limited, such as the inner thighs and neck.

Laser lipolysis may be used on areas such as the face, neck, submental region, inner arms, inner thighs and abdomen, as well as in the treatment of excessive sweating and cellulite.

What is the difference between laser lipolysis and liposuction?

After laser lipolysis, wearing a compression garment for about 5 days is usually sufficient. If the same area is treated again, the second session is generally as mild as the first one.

What happens after laser lipolysis?

  • Mild, short-term oedema may be observed after the procedure.
  • Depending on the number of treated areas, procedures lasting approximately 45 to 180 minutes are generally followed by same-day discharge.
  • Patients can move, walk and continue their daily activities after the operation.
  • The first follow-up is usually performed after 5–7 days, and the use of the compression garment is discontinued.
