Excess Is Not Aesthetic

Today I want to discuss excess in aesthetics. Whether we perform aesthetic surgery or non-surgical rejuvenation procedures, we always aim to preserve a natural appearance.

I believe that when any aesthetic procedure is exaggerated, it stops looking beautiful. Many of my patients agree: what most people truly seek is a natural and healthy appearance.

Of course, from time to time there are patients who request the largest possible breasts, the smallest possible nose, the most lifted nasal tip or brows, or excessively voluminous lips. I politely decline such requests.

I have two sensitivities here. The first is my professional perspective as a plastic surgeon. I find harmony of face and body beautiful. I do not want a face to be perceived only through an oversized lip or an excessively upturned nose.

Aesthetic surgery should refine proportion, not destroy balance. The result should belong to the person, not dominate them.
