Hello. Last week, I gave a presentation about arm lift surgery at the winter congress of the Aesthetic Surgery Society. Sharing experiences with colleagues once again reminded me how valuable this operation is, both technically for plastic surgeons and in terms of results for patients.

Arm lift surgery is one of the operations I perform frequently. Especially after dramatic weight loss, it can provide very satisfying results.

What is arm lift surgery?

Sagging may develop in the upper and inner arms after weight fluctuations, bariatric procedures, aging or other factors that loosen skin and collagen support. Arm lift surgery is the surgical procedure performed to reduce this laxity and create a slimmer, tighter-looking arm contour.

Patients often say that their arms look very loose during movement, that they cannot comfortably wear short-sleeved or formal clothing, or that the appearance creates an older-looking silhouette.

The procedure is planned individually according to the degree of sagging, skin quality and the patient’s expectations.
